Almost every time, the person who says this is an immature idiot with shitty taste in music.
I know right, it's often pretty embarrassing too - I have a friend who totally dismisses Eminem and mocks me for liking him etc. when he used to be a huge fan as a kid and likes to pretend now Eminem is kids music. It's just people who want to feel grown up in some superficial sense lmao. And because they associated Eminem with their childhood think letting go of it makes them older...
It's just like 'ugh, stfu you pretentious retard', you don't even understand what you're now deeming you're too mature for lmao.
Or because they associate young kids liking him now so think it's corny.
When in reality, Eminem's music is adult music. Kids may like him but that's because he's rebellious and in the public eye, but his best work is for an adult's mind. By an adult. And he's actually very mature, most people don't know what that means and think because he makes silly noises or has a silly side he's immature. Eminem's themes and understanding = very mature, always have been. He's only ever 'immature' when being intentionally provocative, but that's intentional / character play.
