I completely understand and have been listening to off the top freestyles and all sorts of rap since I was a young teen, I'm in my 20s now, I don't need to be schooled by someone younger thanks.

MOST (even good rappers) suck ass at genuine freestylying. Eyedea and Slug don't, in terms of keeping it going, flow and not fucking up, but they're not saying anything decent.

I've heard Proof freestyle a lot better.

Yeah exactly. You've listened to freestyles but you've never done it yourself. You can never know what actually happens on the court from the stands.

And I literally cringed at Proof being better. Proof couldn't come close to matching Eyedea's caliber. The car freestyle with em and proof is horrendous.

I have done it myself actually, as I used to write and rap as a kid, I do know how hard it is. That doesn't automatically make them amazing, because it's hard. Their consistency in keeping it going like that is very good, but I've heard other rappers have way more personality and style.

And Proof has more personality in one line than both of their shits combined there.

@Class - I dunno if it was written. I really doubt it, because Em's obviously wasn't. I'm pretty sure Proof woulda said "Alright, you're the big star.. You better write something 'cause I'm gonna embarrass you with my written". Em picks it up when the 2nd beat comes in, but Proof kills the whole thing.

Em's always said Proof was the best freestyler he knows, and I believe that he's actually thinking of it right there.

No it was written. You can tell by his voice. He's not thinking while he's rapping that, he's recalling. Plus his rhymes are structured perfectly for a written verse. It's easy to spot writtens if you know what you're looking for.



From :48 on that's the greatest freestyle of all time. That's an insanely good ACTUAL freestyle and it's easy to see that he's actually free styling

Some of his stuff sounds written, and I know the multis look written, but a lot of it I believe is off the top with Proof, you can hear him fumbling and also often rattling off simple successive rhyme to buy him time to think of the next direction. Em said he was the most amazing freestyler he'd ever heard, I think a lot of his freestyle can sound written but isn't.

Proof was incredibly smooth and mixing and mashing with his flow.
