Encore ..

I love that album It was the first Eminem album I ever owned. I hate how much hate it receive on this forum, and Relapse is like the greatest album in history up here.

Of course it had a couple of songs that just eehh but for every bad song, there was a great one.

Take out the middle section and it's a solid album all around with a good concept.

Here's the thing though. Encore wasn't my first album.

Eminem Show was my first album. I won an water-gun game on the boardwalk and I decided to buy an Eminem album because he was popular. I never listened to him before and that album just blew me away.

Then I had to have more of him, so I bought MMLP and SSLP. But Eminem Show was still my favorite at the time.

Then when Encore came out, I expected to be like Eminem Show or better. I was disappointed at the quality of the album, and I was VERY confused at songs like Puke.

Now, I respect Encore in it's own right. It's half genius and half crap. But nonetheless a fun album to listen to.
