Imagine a white man saying that in front of black male. Why should he fear? If the rule of using the N word applies to a white man, then he would feel offended when he's called a ***** himself. There's no argument in this, and my justification was weak and doesn't support what I said that well. The thing is, some people find certain thing offensive; others just don't care.

wat

Let go. I couldn't place my argument well. :shakehead:

It's difficult to say that they shouldn't enjoy those songs or not. I mean, kids shouldn't be listening to such things, but they do.

when a rapper says a bitch, you don't think he's talking about you, he's talking about someone else, a woman he knows, you don't think it's you, or women in general, it's like watching a man getting hit, you don't get hurt.

also, the rapper felt something, and put it in a song, it reflect reality, it just a culture thing, some people use disrespectful language with women... he didn't put it in a song to offend, rather to express, if that offend someone then so be it, he shouldn't censer his ideas no matter how uncivilized some may think it is. why some people think art should just express righteous moral rather than just human feelings?

I feel that those types of songs reflect a feeling/mood some people feel, Eminem in Kill You, expresses that feeling of wanting to kill and not caring about crossing all borders of sense. he is not saying kill women he is feeling something and expressing it.

and if you think women loves being objectified, think of something else to prove your point. I find it weird how you relate listening to a music you think is disrespectful, with an opinion you have about women.

Truth is, nowadays people just doesn't care, because they're so used to it that they become numb to this stuff.

Morality today is softer and loose to everyone.
But as Suzanne said, is not a bad thing in itself, it's somethin that happens these days. Music is expressing what most of us feel now.

It comes with somethin bad and somethin good.

Bad because young people today are lost in nihilism. Not eveyone, lol.

Good cuz means lack of shame to act right, sometimes, just to make something different... not everyone does it, lol.

I must say, this what I should have said. Good point. I think this post answers the OP's curiosity.

I find disrespectful those videos, where you can see the rapper dressed as a pimp and a bunch of girls in bikini dancing around. And the whole video is like that.

But like Suzanne said when I listen a song like Kim, I'm listening a song of hate. But I don't take it as something personal, or against women, is against one women in particulary.
