It didn't make the cutoff date which is at the end of September.

the album will be nominated next year for sure ;)

Well hopefully it won't be forgotten about by then, it's just it will be old by that time, he deserves it.

Kendrick will win the AOTY award, that's a given.

Eminem has a lot of fans  I can see a competition between kdot and Eminem for the grammy (or kdot vs kanye vs Em if kanye releases an album)

that's what ye's fans said about MBDTF but a lot of ppl were ready to vote for Eminem :y:
I think Em had more fans than kanye in 2010... I'm sure it has something to do with the fact that Em sold 3x more albums than kanye in 2k10

Eminem never got critical acclaim like K.Dot or Kanye. Critics always have mixed feelings about him, so i don't think he'll ever win AOTY at the Grammy's.

Eminem is one of the biggest seller, he has a lot of fans and ONLY 1 album didn't get the grammy for the best hip hop album of the year : Encore

isn't it a system of votes ?

That doesn't make it a better album. I really hope you're not one of those ''MORE SALES = BETTER ALBUM'' retards.

Critics loved MBDTF and GKMC, so don't be surprised if it gets snubbed.

and no, Fans have nothing to do with nominations, they can't effect them. ( by any voting system that is)

na I don't think that sales have something to do with the quality of an album.
It's just that I don't really know how it works... thought it was a voting system (with fans) :y:

Nah it's not fans at all. That's why I don't believe Eminem or any other rapper except Kendrick could get it, because he's the "good kid" in the rap game.

Members of the Recording Industry Association of America and record companies submit recordings and music videos that have been released during the eligiblity year. The eligibility year for the 2012 awards is October 1, 2010 through September 30, 2011.

Screening Process

Over 150 experts in a variety of music fields review entered recordings to make sure they meet the eligibility requirements and that they are placed in the proper categories for award consideration. This is the point at which it is determined whether a recording is rock or jazz, pop or Latin, country or dance, etc.

General Nominations

Ballots are sent to voting members of the association with lists of all of the eligible recordings in various fields. Members are instructed to vote only in their fields of expertise and in only 9 out of a total of 31 fields represented. The fields include Pop, Rock, Latin, Country, Jazz, etc. All voting members may select nominees in each of the 4 general categories - Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best New Artist. Some categories are reserved for special nominating committees.

To become a voting member of the association an individual must be a music industry professional with creative or technical credits on six commercially released tracks (or their equivalent). These may include vocalists, conductors, songwriters, composers, engineers, producers, instrumentalists, arrangers, art directors, album notes writers, narrators and music video artists and technicians.

Special Nominating Committees

Some craft and specialized categories are reserved from the general nominations voting. These nominees are selected by national nominating committees selected from among active members of the association in chapter cities.

Final Voting

Ballots are sent to voting members of the association with the final nominees in all categories. Members are allowed to vote for the selections to win awards in up to 20 categories plus the 4 general categories.

Award Announcements

Winners of the awards are not known until envelopes containing the names of winners are opened at the presentation ceremonies.

Thx for the read !

I'm now very surprised that the Grammys decided not to recognize "MBDTF" as a possible best album of the year ... it was one of the most acclaimed album of 2010
