I'm not saying that's what you were actually saying. What you were saying was implied by what you actually said, whether or not that was your intent in actuality.

Eedee wrote:It would help if we had typed up lyrics for the song... then again we'd be doing the same thing you hate the "hidden rhyme" thread for doing.

What class hates about the "hidden" rhyme thread isn't reading along and finding actual and intentional rhymes, but rather the reaching that he perceives to be happening in there.

Actualize.

I don't think there's reaching in the thread, tbh. With a genius like Eminem, who's to say he didn't intend for something to rhyme or not. With the amount of time and meticulous planning he puts into his verses... I don't think there's any reaching in that thread.

Eh, I haven't been in that thread...except for once, and that was a day or two ago. I have no opinion about it at all. Class is the one with beef, that mother fucker.

We're getting a little Off-Topic though...I wonder how many rhymes are actually in Hip-Hop.

If Class was trying to achieve a challenge put forth - to rhyme as well as Lose Yourself--I think it's fair for Eedee to want to analyse and compare the rhyming

It wasn't for rhyming "as well", it as for rhyming "as many"... which can be construed in different ways. Are we talking the number of syllables rhymed? Then just cram one syllable rhymes throughout and you'll probably add up to LY lol

Unless of course, the number of multis (with the standard multi being at least 2 rhymes; LY has more than that).

See where I'm going with this? It's a very ambiguous challenge, tbh.

My point is you don't need to read the lyrics to hear all the rhymes. He rhymes like Eminem used to on SSLP

Rhyming multies at the start and finish of lies or rhyming a different scheme at the star of the bars and finishing with the same scheme as the line before, like:

AAB
B..B
B..B
CCB

If that makes sense. You don't need the words in front of you to find the rhymes because they are very clear.

That's all well and good, but my point still stands. It's easier with the lyrics written in front of me. And Eminem hides rhymes in-between his normal rhyme schemes anyway, and those are hard to hear unless you're looking at the lyrics and being like "oh shit, he did that", ya know?

You need the lyrics to fully realise how jam packed Lose Yourself is with rhymes.

Okay, well I disagree.

You'd probably get pretty much all of them.

I am not saying you could find every rhyme, but you can certainly tell that it is packed with rhymes just by listening to it.

Obvious point is obvious.

But if there was literally a "challenge" he was trying to achieve, then I don't think it's absurd to want to compare the lyrics/rhymes.
