Em's New Album to be God-Inspired :(?

I just had a thought...

That recent story about Em being a 'born again Christian' is probably bullshit, but just imagine if it is true... he mentions god on the SH album and has done in recent times more than he usually does, and said he prays more now (I think, was that sourced?)...

And Royce said 'he's not so sure how the world will react' to some of the things he's heard... well, Em has said just about every offensive thing under the book, surely the most shocking thing would be a very very positive, Christian kind of album... that would qualify Royce's statement and the rumour... I really hope not, and don't think Em would. I just fucking hope not.

Em will promote it as a Christian album. It will be an album full of 12 tracks, each talking about God and his relationship with him. Taylor Swift will be featured on most of these songs.

I actually think it could be a good concept for it. Game's Jesus Piece has some religious themes, but is faaaaaar from a gospel album. I'd think the same could happen with Eminem if he went that route.

I honestly hope not. I wouldn't mind if Em' included some of his religious beliefs, but being agnostic I don't think I could bump a completely religious album, it would just go against my own belief system. And interesting thought EmBase, but I sincerely hope it's not right.

God knows that if he did go full-blown Jesus-Freak, he'd go fucking crazy with it. I don't see that happening. At all. And Paul's reaction to that article was the equivalent of an eye-roll, so I don't think there's any kind of truth to it...but yeah, it would be pretty awful.

Him talking about religion or god or whatever...I mean, he could do a song about it, and as long as it was done in an interesting and witty way...it could be alright. Like a conversation with god about him being a prick, but it's all good because they're tight now...or some queer shit like that. But if it's a "Your Never Over" but with Jesus instead of Proof, we're fucked.

Here's hoping that the shocking stuff Royce was talking about is a song where Em asks Alaina to jump on his "Woody Allen".

I think the "born again Christian" thing just stems from being in some AA-like program. "Belief in a higher power" and all that nonsense.

I do think a Christian album featuring songs filled with punchlines would be excellent, though.
