Im still of the opinion that more eminem music will help a bit but that overall this forum is kind of heading towards its end. There arent loads active members joining, however every now and then one of them leaves. Slowly the forum is slowing down... cant see it finishing though. I cant see a reason that i would leave this place tbh even if i do just live in the Backstage (little interest in the other sections atm, i read stuff but dont really see much point in posting something that has already been said a few times in the thread). Something will happen that livens this place up / brings in a load more posters probably.

As for peoples personalities..
Who here can 100% honestly say that their online personality = their actual personality? everyone is different online, so people might not be as lively here. Equally some people may be a pain in the ass online but be cool irl.

edit: This is what i am spending christmas day doing. Fun.

I agree with this, something will happen, be it EM, site redesign via TR getting off his ass or Sajn take over, something. When the admins realize TR is the death of this site...then.

But yeah, the loyal members will keep it alive. Been here on/off for two years, myself. Longest forum for me.

Other than that, I see an influx of members soon, probably due to Eminem's eighth album. Lets face it...who really expects a site redesign?

It will be interesting to see the forum expand, i am in a few other forums, all of which are bigger than this one, it it is cool to have so many different people involved in things. There would be more trolls though

As for the redesign, i still expect Detox to come out in some form or another. A reasonably good mataphor for this i think.

I feel you slim. But, how long is that wait? It's basically waiting on TR to come back and say "I've deemed you all worth my time and actual respect, and will therefore stop treating this like some bullshit hobby site that I pay the bills on for shits and giggles."

I find it strange that people have different personalities offline.

I'm like, exactly the same.

I think it's really a matter of confidence. The more confident you sre offline the more similar you are to your online persona because you wouldn't think to change or hide any detail of yourself.

This kind of mentality is why people go into relationships without really knowing their other half. The internet is different I suppose but irl I would hope you'd act like yourself in front of complete strangers, especially if you want to get to know them. If you act different when first meeting someone then your relationship with that person is totally pointless.

Me, I act like myself. I talk much more on here than I do irl because I can compose my thoughts better but the jokes and my comments...are all me. At the same time there's no reason NOT to act like yourself to complete strangers. It's not like they can judge you.

I dont think TR has that mentality to this place, he just has other stuff going on and this is a thing of the past for him, but it is still something that he made so he doesnt want to give it up. I can understand it entirely to be honest.

Well offline im a more introverted person, i listen to music / workout / eat / learn in school / sleep and thats it tbh. Dont really socialise much outside of school and dont have much variation in the things i do.. but I come here to talk to people pretty much, so of course i act differently to an extent.

There are always the people who get bullied irl and become e-thugs and stuff like that, as more extreme examples. You dont get respect from the people you know so you do what it takes to fit in online, you cant get in trouble for saying things... there are next to no consequences for doing things on forums, so it allows people to do what they want more instead of thinking "If i say this, that might happen..."
