The Bump feature.

I was thinking, can we bring this feature back? We used to have this, and was removed by SajN. It would actually help in Bumping CW thread instead of making a post saying: "Bump". That's a little annoying to see. We can limit the #Bumps, though. Maybe 3 times is enough.

What say, Admins?

I was thinking this, but could you make it vets/CW people only, perhaps? People like me, Sam, Trex, etc. Could really use it, plus vets could use it to bump threads in other forums.

Those who don't check the CW board don't want peoples submissions popping up in their view active topics. And if you have to bump a thread because nobody is posting in it, it's hardly an active topic is it? So if this bump thing is implemented it should bump it to the top of its current board but not active topics.

I really don't think it's necessary, especially if you only give it to select people.

It's not stupid. It's a rule and an effort by the writer to get some feed if someone has failed to see and feed, he might do that when he sees that bump. A lot of thread pop up in the "View New Posts" Link that we have no relation whatsoever. Only thing that we can do is read the thread that we need and move the fuck on. It's not that hard, is it?. I've been in that section more than you, and every writer would agree that it's disgusting to see a thread full of posts with nothing but 'Bump' in it.

This feature was noticed by Class and he used it. SajN noticed that and removed. It was a link aka button near the Bookmark link. I also like the idea that you brought up. That feature can atleast push that thread up the section, but that won't make a difference. But, seeing the inactivity in that section, this feature can or should be added on a latter date.

The OP can only Bump that thread twice in 7 days. That's all I'm asking for. You guys are so resistant to change even though it doesn't concern you.

I can see this feature being misused. Way easier when it's a post that bumps an old thread, because then we can just delete the post and the thread will go back where it was.


Also, this feature wasn't really ever enabled, it just happened one day that it somehow got enabled, I noticed it after few bumps, and that's why I removed it again.

At least that's how I think it was...

Finally the person that I desired an answer from said something, and warded of the bull shit in this thread. The point is, I was talking for the benefit of the Artists on this forum, but, if you Mods decide not to do so, it's cool, I guess. I know it would be misused. All I was asking was to restrict it to 2 Bumps per thread, then no bumps will be allowed. Since the decision has been made, I forever hold my peace.
