Tyler the Creator vs Hopsin

IMO, both can be corny and cliche at times, but they both have potential.
I prefer Hopsin, but Tyler isn't that bad (let the HopStans rage on).

IMO, Hopsin is ten times a better producer than Tyler.

Hopsin has the lyricism and flow.
But I like Tyler's voice and delivery.

Though, I liked Tyler's mainstream verse better than Hopsin's.

To be fair, Hopsin (At times) has shown a willingness to rap about issues that really matter, whereas Tyler just rags on gays, celebrities and women.

I prefer Tyler though. But Hopsin's production is way better than his, I think some of Tyler's songs can be REALLY wack or really good. Hopsin is too self-righteous to me whereas Tyler doesn't give a fuck and I like that.

Tyler, The Creator. He is more creative/innovative.

Hopsin is a good rapper and all, but you can really feel Tyler's emotions in his music, I can't say the same for Hopsin....he just sounds like he's rapping his ass off.

Bastard was an amazing album, and that's something he made on his own...no record labels...no budget...

RAW was on his own basement too. His own beats, no record label either. And I really don't understand how you could say that Hopsin sounds like he's rapping without any emotion when Tyler The Creator's delivery is boring as fuck.

Where Will I Go, Pillow Man, I am Raw, Heather Nicole are all emotionally driven songs. And they're great. Really, he sounds way more passionate than Tyler..

And every rapper does the illuminati talk now. Kendrick Lamar, Kanye West, Asap.. However when critically acclaimed rappers do it, it seems like no one gives a fuck. Hell, Ye does it way more than Hopsin.

I think Tyler's delivery is great, he doesn't have to try as hard as Hopsin because he was blessed with a great voice for rap. As far as the illuminati shit, I can't stand when Kendrick talks about it either and Kanye does it from a different perspective and even so, he sounds stupid as shit. Hopsin blames this fictional organization for his failures as a rapper, claiming that he doesn't fit their agenda, so they'll make sure he doesn't become some big rap star. That's just pathetic.


I'm not knocking Raw, it was solid....but like I said, I just like Tyler's music more....I don't care to listen to Hopsin....nothing catches my attention there.

Well, I can understand that you like Tyler more just like I like Hopsin more. And I don't even care about the illuminati talk, I think it's stupid too. However, that's just a small part of his content. A really small one.
A lot of people believe in it so yeah, that also helped to build his fanbase. I'd rather never hear about it again though.

And Tyler has a great voice, but to me, he doesn't sound passionate.. He seems bored. And I really don't like most of his beats. So yeah, to each their own I guess.

Tyler and Hopsin are kinda similar actually, except Hopsin covers a lot more topics than Tyler.
