Some doubtful decisions by the referee (in favor of Manchester United), like the penalty situation where Di Maria fell/was pushed away... not a very clear penalty, but could've been.

Arbeloa needs to die and Khedira is getting better.

Can't believe Alonso lasted that much, he wasn't supposed to play AND WOW! He went a full game without getting a yellow card, that's an accomplishment.

Alonso was pretty good. The way he executes long balls reminds me of Pirlo. Classy, classy player.

I think it's funny some people (including Sir Alex Ferguson) are saying that not even Messi could've done that (the heading), when he actually scored with a nice heading against...... yup, Manchester United.

CR7 is a more complete player, physically, he's better in the air too, better with his weak foot, Ronaldo can do the same damage with his left foot that he can with his right, I'm not saying Ronaldo is better than Messi, I hate that debate, both are amazing players I'm fucking lucky to have witnessed, but Ronaldo is more complete IMO

Its not that Messi cant head the ball.... I saw that header live all those years ago. But then, u could look at Ferdinand and ask him to have been closer, to challenge for it. Ronaldo's header was on a different plane because once he got off the ground there was NOTHING that could have been done to stop him. His knees were level with evra's head!!! He was tall, powerful and had an NBA esquire jump. Add to that he hang in the air THAT long and it becomes quite a feat.

De Gea was INCREDIBLE today. Paid at least a tenth of his transfer fee with that perfomance and now he will establish himself as an excellent first choice. Good that Fergie gave him a decent run of games leading up to this one witout choppin and changing to ensure he had confidence and momentum.

Oh, whoever complained abt the penalty- Varane's foul on Evra was worse and no free kick was given. Add that to finishin the game before we took our corner and well, it really doesnt look biased.

Rafael had a DIFFICULT time against Ozil in that first half. He had to study and defend against Ronaldo (which he practised) but i still think he put in a decent shift and would love to see him retain his place in the team.

The team selection was a bit odd and uncomfortable. Phil Jones in Midfield, no wing outlet to relieve pressure, Evans instead of Vidic, Kagawa startin the match, no place for Cleverly. Not sure if it was the best but they played well. Hoping for a more positive side at OT.

The game was entertainin to watch although dare i say tamer than it was built up to be. When real progress is on the line on the return things should become interesting.

Oh, i know its as long as a blog post, but the game was HUGE for me.

I thought Manchester's midfield was all over the place yesterday. It wasn't really any good structure. It became better towards the end.
