Well, as was said, Trimss wasn't saying that Hopsin is or would be better than Tech N9Ne just because he thinks that Knock Madness would make him bigger. I'm not even sure I agree with that statement, but I suppose anything is possible. Funk Volume has a lot of catching up to do if they plan on overtaking or matching Strange Music any time soon.

The second part of your statement is kind of odd though. You switch back to "bigger" instead of "better". 2 Chainz doesn't have a long enough career, nor the type of widespread respect that Nas has, regardless of sales. And what Trimss later said about Indie vs Indie and Mainstream vs Mainstream to be a little different is true. The fact is that the motivating factors for sales in the underground are different than those in the mainstream.

BUT...again, I don't think that Hopsin will be considered "bigger" than Tech N9ne after Knock Madness unless he gets some serious mainstream attention. If he were trying to do that though, he should have struck when the iron was hot, and made his move on the tail of the XXL Freshman hype. On the other hand, maybe whenever he actually decides to drop it will be a more vacant year, creating a hunger for quality releases.

We shall see. As far as this Redman thing goes, I'm surprised people aren't shitting themselves with excitement, as I almost feel like doing just that when I think about the possibilities. Unfortunately though, I don't think this will happen. I'm not sure if Def Jam will even allow it (I'm not familiar with their history on this type of thing) on a commercial release, and it might take some work to actually get those guys together.

Stylistically though, it would be really fucking great.
