Aaliyah is high up there. R.Kelly used to be fucking great, same with Donny Hathaway. Recently i've been digging Miguel tho, Kaleidoscope Dream is a great album imo.
TrShady is just great. A place where pompousus blowhards can connect with other pompousus blowhards, and form a vast circle jerk of pomposity.

R&B has much more soul to it. Listen to The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill if you want a good R&B album to listen to. Pop music is much more louder and full of dance noises. Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, Chrisina Gaguilera, all pop stars.

But I personally would classify JT as RnB ever since Justified. Ever since he got with Timbo his RnB sound was more pronounced.

Fave RnB artsists: Luther Vandross, Aaliyah, Beyonce and Alicia Keys, there's more but I can't think of them
