Well, I don't think he's trying to build his fanbase with this free mixtape in a significant way, it's more of an outlet between albums, something for his existing fans. That's why it's all relatively low budget. As far as the next single goes? I'm thinking it's going to be "My Box Chevy 4".
I think this single is the shit though. It's not "Pop the Trunk", but other than that, I think I would take it over just about any other single-suitable song on the original Trunk Muzik mixtape. This sets the tone for the mixtape, I believe. Spacy and experimental, though I doubt the other songs will be structured or written in the same way.
The SXSW tie in was a good idea too.
