I think that was a coincidence though.

He could have done that, but I think he was more focused on trying to re-create "Brain Damage" personally. You can hear lots of recent songs from Relapse and Recovery as sort of sister tracks to prime classics (such as "Cold Wind Blows" being the "Kill You" of 2010, and "Cinderella Man"/TIC).

On both "Brain Damage" and "My Mom" - they're essentially storytelling tracks where it ends in tragedy and somewhat fixates around his mom and him doing her voice etc. and they have very similar vibes when you think of them in the same light.

Oh PS. I would change "You look so eloquent" to "You look so elegant", since 'eloquent' doesn't make sense in the context he used it in, but 'elegant' does, and still fits and rhymes.

I wouldn't know what to change in "Takin My Ball", but I don't understand why he didn't use the rhyme "stunt double". He had a rhyme scheme going that matches, but at least this wouldn't have sounded half as forced as all the other shit he had in there. Here's the part I'm talking about:

And crush it with my butt muscles while I cut vocals
Slut poke holes in ya shirt, jump in mud puddles
While I stomp mudholes in ya ass girl, now lets cuddle
Blood curdlin', your gurglin' on your blood, what'll
I do for my next trick? I'm feelin' won-der-ful

No Apologies

From: "This song isn't for you, it's for me, a true MC"
To: "This song isn't for you, it's for me, a truancy"

But that doesn't really make sense. If he is describing himself then he is truant. He can't be a truancy.
