I felt the same way when I revisited my former neighborhood around seven months after I moved from it. The aura changed about it. It just wasn't the same. I'm sure revisiting my high school (I too graduated about five years ago) will be the same.

after i graduated i never returned to my school, other than to drop my sister off at the bus for her to go to her school
