If you're not going to post something that really relates to the topic, in a sense, then please don't critisize it. I understand, since you made your point, that you think books and reading are a waste of time. However, there are those, like myself, who enjoy sitting down and reading a good novel. And becoming emotionally attached to a book is a very simple thing to grasp. You may be reading a book about a child who was sexually abused, and if you, yourself, were sexually abused as a child, then you may understand what the author is trying to get you to relate to. And like in 'Night', the author was a Jew and went to Concentration Camps during the Holocaust. Ellie describes what it was like, how he lost his father, seeing babies thrown into fire pits, and being starved and shit. And if you've learned about the Holocaust and then read that book, you could become emotionally attached because you can picture and let your imagination soar with what the author is describing.
