Tyler and Yelawolf..

Postby BIGDEEZ » Mar 15th, '13, 17:39

They too me seem like they could be the closest we get to the next eminem ever again .. Here me out there's something about the both of them that is so unique to anyone in the rap game currently, I think if both are pushed publicly they will sell good numbers and can possibly be the next big crossover from rap to appeal to the masses.. Domo and yelas new mix tape are near flawless

Mite be wishful thinking from me Wat is your opinion
Im Not A Rapper Im A Adapter I Can Adjust!!!

I think they both have their own identity which is so important. In particular Yelawolf, he is definitely unique.

But Em is a special case. He had literally everything going in his favour when he came out - the backstory, the credibility, the skin colour, mass appeal, controversy and Dr Dre.

Neither Yelawolf nor Tyler will get close to him. But neither will anyone else. There'll never be another phenomenon like Em.

If by Tyler we mean Tyler the Creator, no.
"I take yall diss as endearment - I love it when I hear it
Maybe words offensive - free speech I don't fear it
Maybe music can take us to a place so atmospheric
Beyond our greatest imagination, illuminatin' experience
If we open our ears and close our inhibitions, it's clear"

basically, most of the famous hip hop artists are unique, most of the artists who blew up are unique, and the same goes for a lot of up and coming artists.

The real questions for this thread are: Do these new comers/artists have the mainstream appeal ? Will they blow up ?

Yelawolf has amazing lyrics and ideas, but what JS was saying is that Yelawolf's style isn't like Eminem's at all. The biggest similarity between those two is their skin.
"America...just a nation of two hundred million used car salesmen with all the money we need to buy guns and no qualms about killing anybody else in the world who tries to make us uncomfortable" — Hunter S. Thompson

"Poison the well, your enemies are thirsty!" — Modest Mouse
