Actually, no. I suspect it was recorded around 2006 think it was for his planned 2007 album that was later scrapped. Just like It's Been Real, The Apple and so on.

^ no shit, big ray.

from the leaks, a lot of them seemed to have a bit in common. basically, him being drugged up, angry about falling off and him retreading over his persona.

No, it was for Recovery.

Any song not produced by Dr. Dre was not a Relapse song, period. Not to mention the style and subject-matter, which is pure Recovery. Sounds nothing like Relapse, it's the Recovery style.

"Beautiful" was not produced by Dre, nor does it sound like a Relapse track, but yet, it's on Relapse.

The use of the devil voice, "Relapsing back into this game," and the atmosphere of the song, makes it very plausible that it was intended for Relapse.

I always thought that Cocaine was one of the songs that was meant for Relapse 2 when it was turning into Recovery. And Wee Wee was meant for Recovery, tbh

Exactly. And it wasn't made for Relapse :confusion:

Eminem himself said, that was from his batch of tracks from like 2007, it was clearly for King Mathers. That's why I say "Beautiful" pisses me off so much there.

You're right it doesn't sound like the other tracks, because it's NOT a Relapse track.

Just because he threw it on there don't mean it was made for the album.

ALL RELAPSE MATERIAL WAS MADE WITH DR. DRE PRIOR to him even announcing it!

"Cocaine" is his Recovery style rapping and it also was not produced by Dre, and uses a hook sample; that's when he turned the page, it's a different chapter, it's no longer Relapse. It may have been made near the beginning of the transition / when he began to make new material, but it's not an original Relapse session track; all those tracks were done with Dr. Dre: fact.

By "Relapse song" I thought you meant literally intended to be placed on Relapse. Not a song that has the Relapse style. My bad.

Well a song that was made for that album, in that era, in those sessions.

"Beautiful", wasn't. And it wasn't intended to be placed on there either, it was placed on there as an after-thought; isn't of the same era or sessions. It was from an old batch of songs, he says he put it on there to 'remind himself', but clearly put on there to be a single / safety song as the rest are bizarre.

But it wasn't made for Relapse, isn't of that bunch of for the album. He just put it on there; just like he put "Crack a Bottle" on there, because it was a #1, when it was made for 50's.
