Tech Nine beats sounds like ass
After hearing 10-20 Alchemist beats, it's all the same shit
Don't get me started on the mainstream, or the god awful free beats online

I can think of maybe a handful good producers, but besides that it's all donkey shit.

I might just be growing too old for hip hop, or maybe hip hop needs to grow up.

Haven't listened to them all yet, but I like Yela's beats for the most part.

I agree with an above post about Yela's beats. They're pretty crazy, especially in the car.

Just as a point, I listened to some of Tyler's Bastard album. Those are far and away the worst beats I have ever heard.

Most rappers don't actually play any instruments, so they rely on the producer to be capable enough to do something interesting. Since most producers wouldn't make it by experimenting in a genre that thrives on recycling formulas, and most of the rappers themselves wouldn't even know how to do them justice, they just keep vomiting up the same old shit.
