2010-2012 Lil Wayne = 2004-2007 Eminem?

Postby Kathy » Mar 18th, '13, 05:07

Prime Em >>>> Wayne at any time, obviously, but no one can deny that Wayne was amazing at what he did. He stayed true to his roots, honed his craft, and made bangers. Tha Carter 1 through 3 are all great albums.

It's obvious Wayne's brain has been screwed up on drugs. I've seen interviews where it's clear he can't form thoughts. He hasn't put out a great song in years. His situation, IMO, is very similar to Em's. Wayne is a shadow of himself.

Him and Em are friends, after his latest health scare, I wouldn't be surprised if Em reached out. I think Wayne is a complete fruit now, things he does are 100% pathetic, but when he made songs like Tie My Hands, Don't Get It, I Feel Like Dying, and Fireman, he was on top of the game.

i think 04-07 had enough skill to get by. i hate to sound like a stan, but 04-07 was a pretty bankrupt period in hiphop (much like today). even eminem at his worst wasn't toppled by other rappers.

if this were the mid-90's, em's encore era would be shit and even wayne's best stuff would be laughable.

its relative, compared to other competition.

over the past 10 years rap has been like boxing has been in the past 10 years.

Well, Wayne has a big problem of addiction right now. Like Eminem back then. That's It.

He is going to end badly if he doesn't do anything. I'm sure Eminem talked to him, but doesn't matter if Wayne isn't ready for rehab...

Lil Wayne isn't a genius as Em in his prime, he can't even deliver his lyrics. It took me 2 years to realize that in his NO LOVE verse there's a rhyme in

"I'm high as a bitch: up, up and away
Man, I'll come down in a couple of days"

I don't even know any of his own songs for I don't like his "style".
August 22 2013 - from Berlin to Paris, 400€ spent just for Eminem. IT WAS WORTH EVERY SINGLE CENT!

lol i dont get why everyone is so bitchy and pretentious on here.

ooooh you're so coooooool, you must only listen to real hip hop. YOU SAY LIL WAYNE I SAY EMINEM. YOU SAY SOULJA BOY I SAY NAS. YOU SAY DRAKE I SAY WUTANG. YOU SAY NICKI MINAJ I PUNCH YOU IN THE FACE.

lol, you're probably some skinny boy who sits on a computer all day writing youtube comments on videos of rappers you hate.

There are different types of rappers. If I want something lyrical, I'll listen to Em or Pharaoh Monche or Big L or Nas.

If I want something to play at a party (you should try one sometime) I'll play Wayne or Juicy J or even shit like Tyga.

Wayne's projects like Da Drought series, first few Carters, and the Dedication series are legendary, and a couple nerds on the internet don't change that. And FYI Rebirth is one of the worst albums I've heard, Carter 4 was lame, and I was pissed when I saw he was on Recovery.

i dunno about anything else but I WILL PUNCH YOU IN THE FACE if you say nicki minaj.

i'm not sure if she's a rapper who likes to show her fake boobs and ass or a stripper who likes to pretend she can rap.
