I'm not going to go with worst. Because it's different for me. I was born in the 90's, so I wasn't around to hear the terrible Hip-Hop of the 90's because I didn't start listening until the late 90's/early 2000's. And bad music doesn't stand the test of time. So I haven't heard a whole lot of truly terrible music from the period.

There are, however, plenty of rappers from the period I dislike. There's a reason as to why you don't hear about the terrible rappers from the period. It was so difficult for them to become famous with the lack of Internet (which is a also sometimes a perk for today's music). If someone was terrible, they just didn't make it. Period. And if they did, they were forgotten over the last twenty years.

The main one from the period that I cannot stand is Biggie Smalls. Sorry.

Eazy-E
Three 6 Mafia

...are one's that spring to mind, who are actually complete shit.

However, I don't like most of the generic rap in the 90's.

Flavor Flav (was in Public Enemy in the 80s but appeared solo in the 90s)
Vanilla Ice
Easy-E
Canibus
Snoop Dogg (never been a fan)

That's about it, I haven't heard much 90s rap.

Bigray, OutKast is one of the few good hip-hop artists from the 90's.

True. Even then, they don't compare to how bad shit is today

Exactly. But..

I find that the Internet does more good for rap than not. If it weren't for the Internet, would Nas get the respect he deserves? Would legends like A Tribe Called Quest and KRS-One get the props they deserve? No. The Internet keeps older rap that would be lost in the transition of time periods alive. Plus, we also get introduced to some pretty good rap thanks to the Internet. Yeah, we get guys like 2 Chainz and Trinidad Jame$, but you can ignore bad rap. You can find good rap and enjoy it thanks to the Internet.
