True story. Wayne was never "amazing" at what he did. Eminem was "amazing", Jay-Z was "amazing", Kanye West was "amazing." Wayne was not. He has one decent album, C2, and even that is an overrated piece of shit in the long run.

Edit: COMPLETELY agree with Aone about C3. Everyone loves it but I don't. I hate it. It fucking sucks, Wayne was lazy as fuck on it. He sounds better on C4 than C3 for fucks sake. It's terrible, one of the worst hip hop albums I've ever heard. IMO at least.

It's obvious Wayne's brain has been screwed up on drugs. I've seen interviews where it's clear he can't form thoughts. He hasn't put out a great song in years. His situation, IMO, is very similar to Em's. Wayne is a shadow of himself.

Him and Em are friends, after his latest health scare, I wouldn't be surprised if Em reached out. I think Wayne is a complete fruit now, things he does are 100% pathetic, but when he made songs like Tie My Hands, Don't Get It, I Feel Like Dying, and Fireman, he was on top of the game.

There are different types of rappers. If I want something lyrical, I'll listen to Em or Pharaoh Monche or Big L or Nas.

If I want something to play at a party (you should try one sometime) I'll play Wayne or Juicy J or even shit like Tyga.

Wayne's projects like Da Drought series, first few Carters, and the Dedication series are legendary, and a couple nerds on the internet don't change that. And FYI Rebirth is one of the worst albums I've heard, Carter 4 was lame, and I was pissed when I saw he was on Recovery.

It's not about "real hip-hop", you've been trying to create that generalization here for a long time. You don't have to be one of those annoying purist hip-hop heads to realize that Lil Wayne's music is garbage. Hell, some of the guys I know who are preachy about real hip-hop hate on me for liking Eminem and Jay-Z because they are mainstream. Stop trying to excuse yourself by using that because it has no relevance here.

Perhaps people reacted that way because your statements come off as snobby and elitist. It doesn't take a genius or a college degree to understand marketing and be successful at it. Hell, there are plenty of people with degrees out there who are still incompetent in their own profession.

Never said you needed a degree, little boy. I said the current staff are clearly idiots who don't know what they're doing, so if Shady went and got some actual professionals they'd be better. And the fact is the vast majority of successful business people have degrees. It's a huge advantage. For every famous dropout who was rich, there are 1000s of people with good degrees in the same spot.
