Question for those who know anything about divorce

Ok....so, one of my friends on facebook happens to be friends with the dick wad my mom ran off to be with (she is with a guy in a city in iowa that i spent 9 years in so have alot of friends there)

and one of the guys post's showed up in my timeline, that friend of mine is on the verge of being blocked either way even if they don't know the situation, BUT, i scrolled thru the dick wads timeline, and noticed some interesting shit, on valentines day, he said "I Love my WIFE ------" not posting her name here but y'all get the point, and my mother's name on facebook is now that dudes last name.

now, my dad hasn't even got to file the divorce papers yet, he has a meeting with a lawyer on the 4th for that, now, my question is, is it possible that she may have somehow got a court to give her a divorce without needing my dad to sign papers? if so, it just fucked up a ton of shit for what my dad had planned

My dad is putting in the divorse papers that my mom would be paying child support, plus rent that she owed the landlord before she left, and is giving her an option, pay the money, or sign over her parental rights, and if she snuck her way thru a divorce without nbeeding ym dad to sign shit, that really screwed all that up.

Divorces have to be agreed upon by both parties, unless one person is suing the other for divorce. Even then though, papers have to be served, and a judge has to get involved. Your dad would have known.
