I dont think there will ever be another rapper even with anger/passion/drive that will be a successful as em. especially if they are white, they will have a fucking mountain to climb to even be known anymore from how high em set the bar. the thing is, it's not just about how you rap with anger and stuff, its about story telling. Em became huge became of his insane ability of story telling based on his personal life along with his anger and drive to be successful and pushing the envelope as far as it will go. Almost being banned from Canada for the Kill You lyric's, also being investigated from death threats to Bush with his line "Fuck money, I dont rap for dead presidents, id rather so the president dead, its never been said but i set precedents" from We As American's. There will never be another artist whole can hold a candle him, which is why he was the highest selling artist of the past decade. I do believe that they could get successful, but there's a big difference between being successful and the level of success that eminem has reached over the last 10 or so years. Shady is a house hold name, and I dont believe there will ever be another Eminem. It's comparable to pop artist's. they had jesse mccartney, aaron carter, now justin bieber. they all fell off and got into drugs, there has never been anyone good enough to make a life long carrer out of it. Em got into drug's and left for 4 year's, came back and sold 600,000 first week, more than alot of arists can wish for. Just like he say's, "When I die so does Hip Hop". I love that he's sober and matured, not only does he tell stories about his current life, but his music automatically changes through time just like real life, song's like I'm Back was the young shady. now we are about to get the mature shady. sorry if i went a little off topic.
If you had one shot, or one opportunity, to seize everything you ever wanted, would you capture it? Or just let it slip?

He's always going to grow as an artist, be it producing or making his own records. He has said countless times that if an artist remains the same, they should just quit. He's a big believer in always getting better and growing in many ways.

Which is vital. I'm starting to believe that even though fans want a certain thing, they don't know what they really want until it's right in from of them to investigate and digest it. So many people want a 2002 album from him now but I bet you if he really did go down that route, people would find issues with it no matter what.

It just seems like Eminem literally did anything that's possible to do in rap, so there are no more unique ideas left.

I hope to hell that happens.

Saying this almost means that there's no point and that every other rapper should quit. He accomplished many things, but there's plenty of ideas left that a rapper could do. People said back in 96 that there would be never be another rapper as big as Pac, look who walked in not even two years later. You can't predict stuff like this. The next impact in rap is gonna come when you least expect it.

^^True that, my only wonder now is the one I asked in first, if someone with the same rhyming technique, the same use of anger, same passion, and the same lyrical genius.
Would he become a hit, or get hated for imitating Eminem?

I honestly can't imagine someone new posting a "The Way I Am" type of song, the same delivery of vocal to show anger (different subject though), he'd get so much hate for imitating Eminem, or wouldn't he?

He'd probably get hate IF he follows the exact same pattern. However, if he has the same traits BUT also has a bunch of other things about him that are completely different, he'd probably become a hit since he wouldn't want to go down the same road in terms of concepts Eminem already did. The rapper would most likely want to go down a completely different road though. It's like Redman and Eminem. You can listen to Redman and you can listen to Eminem and see the clear influence but Eminem's style isn't Redman's style.
