Yeah me too. I cant get into Kanye's music for some reason.

He's a rapper who can barely rhyme... That's my biggest problem with him.

I wouldn't say he can barely rhyme. He can rhyme...

Is hip hop just a euphemism for a new religion
the soul music for the slaves that the youth is missing

One of his best examples... and that's sad.

Wow! Just when you thought people couldn't get more outrageous.

Slik, TES had a 3 features and let's say they were all terrible. You still have way more bad features on MBDTF.
All Of The Lights was half-assed, Dark Fantasy was just as random as Business, Jay and Kanye fucked up Monster, it's sad that one of the most terrible rappers beat them. I can't speak about the rest because I don't like Ye's music.

Kanye and Jay were great on monster.

"Head of the class and she just wants a swallow-ship" :worship:

MBDTF didn't have a single bad feature becase they all added something to the album. Obie and D12 are only on TES becase they're label mates. Their verses actually detract from the album. So don't even talk about features lol

Ever since I got into Em, TES has been my favorite album, and it still hasn't changed.

I get goosebumps sometimes just when I take the time to go back and listen to the whole thing through, just looking at the cover and the tracklist it's just such a monster album. I really think his lyricism is unmatched on this album in regards to successfully combining flow, meaning, and rhyming. I really don't think it gets the credit it deserves, much like Em himself.

And everything about it is better than MBDTF.

Nothing comes close to MMLP for me.

I honestly prefer My Beautiful Dark Twisted fantasy to The Eminem Show. Kanye did one better with everything (except rhyming) on that album.

Eh. Once again, Kanye's production is amazing so people can focus on it and forget his average lyricism. MBDTF isn't even his best album.

TES is my favorite Eminem album too, and probably his best.

Such an easy cop out. What do Fergie and Swizz Beatz add? Nothing, exactly. Some features were just useless.

TES is his best album. However, I've listened to it so many times, it has worn out on me.

No, that is a cop out. Bring up a pop star to try and take away from the album.

I don't even know where Fergie and Swizz are on the album because not a single feature made me go "damn that was wack, who the fuck was that?" Every vocal added something to that album, it doesn't matter that it was Fergie, or Rihanna or some random. If a female vocal is needed in a certain song, who cares whose voice it is? It fits.

And yes it's his best album and his lyricism (but not always rhyming) is great.

TR members don't deserve to bring up lyricism because they all believe it only has to do with using multi-syllable rhymes. Kanye's not being clever or witty enough so he's not being lyrical. He tells a story and adds elements from each genre to piece together a work of art, but he's not being lyrical enough, so he fails.

Shut the fuck up, no one was talking about multi syllable rhymes, you brought that up. But since you're talking about it, yeah, Kanye's rhyming game is terrible. I was talking about stupid piece of shit lyrics like these

That know, the day that you play me
Will be the same day MTV play videos
that was a little joke, Voila!
Praises due to the most high, Allah
Praises due to the most fly, Prada
Baby Im magic, Tadah!

or songs like All Of The Lights, which is one of the most annoying song ever.

So you're gonna tell me Fergie's verse (yes, she raps on the album) isn't one of the most terrible thing ever? It's about as good as Bizarre's verse on "When The Music Stops"

How are those lyrics stupid? Is it because he's being up front? Is it because he's not talking about bicycles and Schwinn magnets?

They're not surrounded by complex rhymes but who gives a damn? It's not 2000 anymore. People aren't constantly trying to impress one another with multi-syllable rhymes. Stuffing each verse with internals.

You find AOTL annoying, that doesn't mean it's a bad song. It's actually a great song. But you and the other couple people here can't see past it because the production sounds too mainstream, or because Kanye doesn't have any complex rhymes to sound like a total nerd.

What all you faggots are failing to realize is that everyone has different tastes in music, and will like certain styles for different reasons.

Shut up, you're a TR member. Even worse, you're a mod. You don't have the right.

Okay :'( I'll just go back to sucking Geno's dick and bullying members that I don't like.

You're really stupid. Like, probably the biggest sheep on this forum. One day you're trying to be like Amadeo, one day you're trying to be like Alm. You really have no personality.

Why are you being so defensive? Why are you even talking about bicycle and Scwhinn magnets? Do you think I think Eminem is great right now? Because I don't. Find another argument.

The lyrics are honestly shit. How can you read that/hear that and not cringe hard? Seriously. I already told you I don't give a fuck about the rhymes so just stop with that. I don't give a fuck about the rhymes, even though Kanye is lacking in that domain, I really don't give a fuck about it. His writing is just too simple.

Jay doesn't have the most impressive rhyming either, yet he's still a great lyricist. Lost In The World is just a proof of his bad lyricism. "Say something, then say the opposite" add some autotune to it, some hard hitting drums and get faggot ass sheeps like you call it art.

Lol at saying I don't like AOTL because the beat sounds too mainstream. Once again, you're mistaking me with someone else. I don't care about how "mainstream" a beat sounds. The songs is shit, and that's that. Probably his weakest song on any of his solo album.
