Wu-Tang Clan Announce Album Title for 20th Anniversary LP

Postby flyingmonkey10 » Apr 11th, '13, 19:55

The Wu-Tang Clan have announced the title of their 20th Anniversary LP, due out this July. HHNM is reporting that the crew's sixth studio record will be called A Better Tomorrow—the same name as a track from the group's Wu-Tang Forever.

This Sunday, the group is performing at Coachella; in June, they're appearing at Bonnaroo, and have two UK dates around the time of the album's release scheduled.

All of them gotta be on it... Ghost & GZA rhyming back to back again is also necessary. Staten Island stand the fuck up!

Start from their early work when all of them were around & when the chemistry was still there.

i hope this album innovates like their first two did.

because their other work in the past 10 years, honestly seems like a rehash of their old stuff or so boringly generic.

They've been in the game for so long.. there is nothing wrong for them to even go back to basics. Knowing their fans I even think they'll appreciate this more than if they experimented & tried to be innovative so late in their careers.
This is most likely their last album so I only hope they'll put all differences aside & will all be on the album.

Fuck yeah!
It's a pity ODB won't be on it, he added another level of hardcore to their music.

it will be a problem if its like what theyve been releasing since ODB's death

Well that's definitely not about them been generic, repetitive or not innovative... if you've followed closely you'd know there were a lotta differences & beef involved on the way. Weird enough ODB was the mixture for all this packed talent & he's certainly missed. That's why I said it'd be great if they put all differences aside & once again for the last time be all involved like they use to be before all the differences came on the way.

From what I've heard, Ghostface's new album sounds promising.
But hardcore street rap has become a tired genre, with so many people doing it now a days, it's harder to be as original in that particular niche.

I'm sure they won't be able to reconnect & hit as hard as before but their core following definitely will be pleased if they really did a vintage Wu Tang album. It is a 20th anniversary album & that speaks for itself. It is really gonna do if they were all on it & if the differences were put aside for a second.
