The distribution of the money made from TV rights in Spain is a joke. Real and Barcelona run away with the money, leaving very little for the rest. Apparently that's going to be changed soon. That's only a good thing for Spanish football in general.

Wouldn't Mata be considered more of a Real Oviedo product?

I think he will stay at Real Madrid.

Mourinho denied that they were on bad terms, and him leaving was a "perfect divorce". He also said he'd work with Roman again.

I personally always liked Barca better but Real is easily a great club by all means... now or whenever. The fact that it is highly considered as THE greatest of them all speaks for itself.
On top of it they have INCREDIBLE following in Madrid & Spain first... & then incredible following all over the world as well.
Rev I don't think you should even bother to go into details to defend that.

Yeah you are right, It's all about Madrid and barça. The rest of the teams are lucky if they get 10 seconds in the news. I don't think is going to change though...

It reminds me the sports news here are 90% football (most Madrid and Barça) my boyfriend is also a big basket fan, so sometimes he is waiting to get some basketball news, and if he is lucky he can get like 10 seconds of basketball news...

Apparently the TV rights distribution is going to change. Obviously it's not very good if you're a RM or Barca fan in the age of Financial Fair Play, but for the rest of Spanish football, it's welcoming news.

Rumour has it we're signing Barcelona's Josimar Qunitero. 16 year old, I've never heard of him.

The share is just slightly unfair though 'cuz at the end of the day Real & Barca are the teams that keep the hype going & generate most of the interest & money if we talk about TV rights. When Valencia & Deportivo had great teams & were doing great in CL every year they got a pretty good share, let alone Malaga just did too. A lot of teams always complain for not eating off of those big money the big teams generate but at the end of the day they can't even get their own fans to pack their arenas & ironically wait on Real & Barca to do that for 'em when they play at home against them.

On an unrelated note, I really dislike Nigel Adkins.

Does he bother you?

He is so irritating, honestly.

Don't mind him.

Di Canio is quality though, such a passionate manager. He's done a fantastic job with Sunderland thus far.

Di Canio was the perfect choice to keep them up.

But I doubt he can carry it forward next season. You can't be THAT passionate for 38 games. It has to become false at some point, and lessen its impact on the players.

Granted it's a different ball game, but he did an awesome job with Swindon. He must be a decent tactician. We'll see what happens if they stay up, though.
