Do you make an effort to discover new artists?

Or do you listen to the same shit every day? I'm pretty curious. Are you a bandwagon jumper who only listens to what others tell you is cool, or do you try to find new artists on your own?

I've discovered a few artists recently by the covers of their albums; if they are dope, I'm very likely going to download the album just to see how it matches the visuals. I thought R.A.P. Music cover was pretty cool, so I downloaded it and immediately became a fan of Killer Mike, who has been in the game for a while but just got into his music. The same thing happened with Krizzle; downloaded his album because the cover for LFTU was badass as fuck and now the guy is in my top 5 ever.

What do you do to find new artists? What's the latest artist you became a fan of?

Sometimes, yeah. I occasionally go to pluspremiers.com (it's a great site) and download singles and albums from artists I don't usually listen to.

I could never listen to the same artists over and over again.

I try to listen to new people all the time, I check out any name I see commonly.
But a lot of the time I get bored of looking around, and listen to the norms

For example i used to only listen to Eminem

Now i like Tyler, Action bronson Casey Veggies and grew new respect for Curren$y and Method Man

As in new names no ones ever heard I'm not that cool yet loll

I still haven't checked out most of the rappers mentioned in this forum.

I try to listen to new artists but I often find myself sticking to things I like most.

I make playlists and stuff so I usually bump those.

Also check em out on datpiff or on here to see what other members bring on the table...

Otherwise I stick to what I like.

I don't literally look for new artists to listen to but when a record gets on the way I always give it a chance & if I like it I maintain my interest to the given artist. As a matter of fact nowadays you literally have to avoid new artists not to give 'em a chance to listen to their records as internet really makes it easy.
