Well to be fair - he's the one that perpetuated the myth lmao.

I know he always did it as a tongue-in-cheek stereotype of his 'white poverty''... but he's the one who has referred to himself as 'trailer trash' in a million rhymes. He even had trailer park imagery in his first ever big video ("My Name Is") lmao, so you can't exactly then denounce the perception, as he had nothing to do with it.
