Eminem's live perfomances nowadays

He cant perform his old songs normal anymore. Lose yourself, My Name is, The Real Slim Shady, Without me( I'm not talking about Forgot About Dre, cause it's really very hard for him now) - what he is doing is "barks" lol, i dont know how to call it. He cant do it smoothly like he did it. I thought it could depend on age, but look at his perfomance of 3 A.M, Insane, Hello, W.T.P - this perfomances are perfect.

I was thinking of this the other day, but I've concluded that it's just age.. I feel like he doesn't have the fire in him to do old Slim Shady shit the right way.

Exactly, I personally agree with you completely.
I'd even go so far as to say that he only raps about 60-70% of the verse, failing to finish the last part of each line. It is very obvious now when he pauses to breathe. Before it used to look effortless: he wouldn't move the mic to suggest that he had stopped rapping, which he does all the time now.

And let's be honest, Mr Porter is not the best hype man to fill in the blanks. Every time I watch him perform I am imaging there are heart-surgeons behind the scenes waiting to operate the moment his body and heart fail him.

Yeah something is wrong with those performances .. but he can still do the nasally voice to some extend .. SSLP is hard but i think he is still able to do the MMLP

I think he's been sounding better on his old songs recently.
In his 2010 performances and some of his 2011 performances he seemed to struggle with them more.

His voice got better in 2012, and I think he could easily do his older songs now.

Maybe it's because It was about 12 years bewteen 1999 and this performance.

He can still sound good (though not quite like the old him) when he doesn't push his voice too far. Where it falls apart is when he starts trying to yell...especially over sustained periods. It held up on "Underground," but then he got cocky and started yelling everything, as if it was 2001. I think it his voice got so worn post-Recovery that he eventually was forced to stop doing it so much, hence the weird deliveries on more recent tracks.

fast foward to 0:30 .. you'll notice he can still do that high pitched voice .. now .. does that mean he can still do the SSLP for an example, no, but it means he can still hit the high tone..

yeah .. doesnt sound like SSLP but he can still hit that high tone .. there is a difference in doing a song live while your throath is put under alot of pressure, while he's jumping around and performing instead of doing it at home while he's calm and let's say more "focused".

And since you're talking about TES .. what pisses me off with EM is that i know he can do every song of that album exactly like back in the day live, even without me, but yet he manages to fuck up songs like SFTM every single time because he's screaming throughout his whole verse... i mean he can still show that aggression he had during that song without really screaming or shouting, just like he did a couple of years ago with that renegade live performance.

And btw i really think he can still do the majority of the MMLP .. i mean the first clip sounds exactly like the hook on under the influence
