There is no way around it gaining pure lean music = lots of Protein

You can gain pure lean muscle without increasing ur calories, carbs and fat it just takes longer.

Putting on weight = as you said increase your calorie intake, fat and of course protein.

I was only touching on the part you said ". Working out turns the extra weight into muscle"

What i meant was that you have to eat more food, i didnt mean that it just turns the weight into muscle. Of course you need a lot of protein, but without enough carbs you are giving yourself very little highly efficient energy so you will burn through a lot of the protein in a workout, and by not having enough fat you are going to limit testosterone production (amongst other things), so making sure you get enough of each is essential for building muscle in a relatively short time (still talking a matter of months/years but it takes less time).

To actually gain mass though you have to have more calories going in than coming out, otherwise you cant gain weight. Maybe not a 500cal/day surplus but there still needs to be some extra.

bigray wrote:@slimshady that is where supplements come in and is a MUST for anyone working out.

Any how....I go through this every time with members here every time we bring up working out/ dieting...I am not saying anyone is wrong here but I am saying I know what I am talking about...I practice what I preach.

Which supplements do you take? I have vitamin tablets and protein shakes, thats it though.

Thing is, it doesn't matter if you're not fat, if you're cutting you simply don't cheat. The psychological part of cutting is the hardest one (getting rid of things you love to eat/drink), if you get over that you're good to go.

3 essentials that everyone should be taking who works out are Multi Vitamin, Glutamine and Protein.

Bulking phase - Preworkout supps, natural test boosters, anything that is new or helps me grow.

Dieting - BCAA's very essential (all that hard earned muscle u got in the winter, this helps you keep it) Fat burners usually an ephedrine based product. Even Ill take a estrogen blockers if I really wanna get lean.

Never tried steroids but have done M1T which is a pro-hormone http://www.mindandmuscle.net/articles/m ... st-review/ and this link tells you it is clean but it is not it is dirty as fuck and ill never touch it again...you get crazy results though.

Steroids arent worth it, or not untill you start getting very close to genetic potential. I just eat a load of food, get my multi-vitamins and take protein shakes.
200+g protein, 350+g carbs, ~100g fat and im good to go.
Im on a slow bulk though, gaining about 4lb per month but bodyfat percentage isnt increasing (11% so only a small amount of the weight gain is fat.

Havent ever had to do a proper cut yet but I know all the theory behind it, its just a matter of being able to resist cheating.

Idk what's been said, though pushups work your core, its not enough to have your ab muscle push out your fat giving you a gut.
So pushups are definitely not to blame.

Do cardio, not sit-ups. Sit-ups will give you more of a gut unless your under ten percent fat. Cardio will burn the fat
