Does Eminem have the dumbest fanbase ever?

Facebook Eminem fans are up there with Youtube Eminem fans in annoyingness.

Not to mention that same page composed a list of their favorite Eminem songs and put LTWYL at NUMBER ONE

I have to question when a lot of these people started listening to Eminem. I'm not saying it was Recovery, but it was Recovery.

I'm beginning to wonder about the fans he gained from Recovery. I'm one of them, but I certainly don't feel LTWYL is #1, or that his poppy songs are better. I first heard Em on Recovery aside from a few songs. I have since listened to all his albums, multiple times, and seem to be in the consensus with the majority of the people on here about which songs are his best.

When talking about absolute numbers, however;
--> Em's fanbase probably has more geniuses than most other fanbases
--> Em's fanbase probably has more "dumb people" than most other fanbases

All mainstream artists have extremely dumb fan-bases. The majority of the masses aren't intelligent.

However, unlike artists such as Justin Bieber, Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne etc etc - Eminem has a lot of intelligent fans - as Eminem made extremely good music.

Underground artists - that make good music - have more intelligent fans, however, this brings with it a lot more pretentious fans as well (people that downplay prime Eminem or someone like Bon Iver due to fame).

I've been a Jonas fan since 2007, and that is by far the biggest group of idiots I have ever come across lol. Eminem fans are very normal compared to fan bases like that. Same goes for Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, One Direction, Demi Lovato ect. I don't follow many of those, but they bleed over into the Jonas fandom and it's a whole different type of crazy over there than Eminem fans.

I just saw a poll on Facebook asking what is your least favorite Eminem song and nearly everyone voted "Kim". Really??

"Kim", instead of songs like "Like Toy Soldiers" and "Rain Man"?

Why do Eminem fans like Eminem? It can't be because of his artistic abilities. That whole stereotype that Eminem fans only like Eminem because of his emotional songs is slowly becoming true.

I don't understand all of the hate that Like Toy Soldier's gets. I think it's one of the best song's on Encore and a really good one in general. I don't like rainman though.

I think people who make list's like that are the fan's who become a fan from LTWYL/Recovery (no disrespect to anyone on this forum). He wouldn't have gain half as many of his new fan's had he not done that collab. Some of the song's on that list deserve to be there, Lose Yourself for example, which is my favourite song of all time and should be number 1, but there are album's worth that are better than most of the picked song's, including non album and "unreleased".

I believe that the "dumb fanbase" are not the people who have been listening to him since atleast one of his first 3 album's. Think they are considered the "new" fan's who started listening from Recovery. The majority of these people really piss me off, especially on youtube and other social music or video sight's just from the comment's alone, people thinking they know him because of Recovery. In my opinion, most of them are younge kid's and are the same group of people who would have been joining the protest's had they been around to here is older music. Don't get me wrong though, I know there's alot of people who have heard his new stuff, got hooked, and went to dig up is older material and know his as Slim Shady rather than just the person who collabed with rihanna. I almost think that fan base are part of the Justin Bieber, Jonas Brother's, boy band phase fanbase.

I advice the OP not to read such kind of stuff. Save your nerves. A lot of people think that Beautiful is the best song on Relapse and one of his best songs in general. Thats bullshit, yes. But dont waste your time on bullshit.
