Does Eminem have the dumbest fanbase ever?

I think people who make list's like that are the fan's who become a fan from LTWYL/Recovery (no disrespect to anyone on this forum). He wouldn't have gain half as many of his new fan's had he not done that collab.
I believe that the "dumb fanbase" are not the people who have been listening to him since atleast one of his first 3 album's. Think they are considered the "new" fan's who started listening from Recovery. The majority of these people really piss me off, especially on youtube and other social music or video sight's just from the comment's alone, people thinking they know him because of Recovery.

Which kind of makes me hope his next album will be more in the respects of SSLP or MMLP, just to see their reactions.

I wanted to note that it's not like I've been listening since day one. I got into him sometime after Eminem Show came out.

Yes, this is why I really hope that he is going to do something along the line's of his first 3. Content wise, I would say that it's definetaly not what some people would be expecting and I would love to see their reaction's aswell. But I would also love to here how that era of Eminem sound's now, dealing the public event's and such, just to see how his view's have changed in the past 10 or so year's.

I will also note that I started listening to him in 2000 I think, I wasn't part of the first week sale's though. I first heard of him shortly after the MMLP released mainly because of the fuck load of new's he's was getting and all the protesting. After that he's all I still listen to, I went back and listened to his old stuff and then became a collector I rarely watch the new's but I remember him being investigated for his president line in We As American's...that's the kind of stuff I wanna hear, I want to see him on the new's again but it will never happen.

I think its good for Eminem (or any Artist for the matter) to get new fans with his new songs. New fans will then digg the old music, and actually discover how amazing Em was in his prime. so ultimately, Em's fanbase increases as well as the old music stays winning. I HATE it when old fans act like cunts and try to discredit newer fans by saying things like "oh you must be a fan after recovery" or some shit like that which makes my blood boil.

I'm not sure if this is how I came off or not but just for the record, I also think it's great that seasoned artist's get new fan's. Bigger fanbase the better. It's just really easy to tell with some people when they actually started listening to him. But, the "fan after Recovery" part is partly true, there is nothing wrong with it but some have never heard of slim shady, there for can't have that type of conversation or don't know much about the first few album's that made him extremely popular. It doesn't make people cunt's to say thing's like that, unless of course they are blatanly being an asshole about it, it's just fact.

I was moreover talking about hipster fans who think you dont deserve to a fan if you got into Em after 2010.
And btw it pisses me off when i see people posting on facebook and youtube that how Not Afraid and LTWYL is Em's best song when they have absolutely no clue about Em's entire body of work. Those kind of comments make me want to slit my wrists.
But there are many other new fans who got into Em after Recovery(or Relapse), who go back to his old albums and discover prime Em (Like many members on this forum). So its a good thing for Eminem as an artist that his old vintage shit is discovered by newer generation of fans with every new album he releases.

The internet and all of the social networks, forums and all that stuff gave us the opportunity to show how stupid we are. You can say that every artist, actor, football, basketball, hockey, baseball... team has stupid fans because stupid people love music, movies and sports and most of them have internet acces. And they can all show us how stupid they are.

Artists like Bieber and One Direction have mostly kids for fans. Those kids will write the dumbest shit ever, grow up and stop listening to Bieber and One Direction. Some of them will stay stupid, some won`t. And they all aren`t even stupid to begin with, they are just kids.

And, if you ask me , if you are a true Em fan, you will never write those kind of comments. You will appreciate his music and him as an artist. You will dislike his bad songs and love his good and great songs.

I'm actually a bigger fan of rock than I am rap, and I've noticed that the general rock audience tends to be smarter than the general rap audience. I guess I would say because pop and hip-hop essentially dominate the mainstream, and well the mainstream is usually fucking retarded.

Like for QOTSA (one of my favorite bands), most of the youtube comments are like legitimately well-written paragraphs about the evolution of the band and like discussing the effects/instruments used, etc., whereas when you go to an Em video, it's just a bunch of retards rattling off Em's 7 different personas as the best rappers ever.
