Too many politics involved into this apart just the bitter rivalry... plus Barcelona has been taking Real's for the last 10 years which makes it impossible for whatever kind of respect.

Exactly. It's bored when politic stuff is even in football, but that's what happens with Madrid and Barcelona and their rivalry. It's bored to explain. Madrid and Barcelona are the biggest cities of Spain, Madrid is the capital, but both compete continuously.
Also many madridistas consider Barça representative of Catalan independence sentiment...

There are also sportive reasons, both are the teams with more titles. The best teams here.

Exactly... politics make this way more complicated. I don't know if you remember Stoichkov but he was that phenomenal football player who was kinda stupid & always rebellious & was always talking about this in interviews & shit rather than ignoring it like most players do.

Didn't understand this part of your post

I meant Barca taking Real's spot as dominant force in Spain & Europe for the last 10 years or so.

Every team go through a period where they dominate not just locally but internationally as well.

True but it has been the first time Barca dominating the whole football world this way for that long... they've been kinda close in the Cruyff's era (as a player) & were even closer in the Stoichkov's one but this Messi era really makes a big difference.

I don't know much about Stoichkov, I was very young. But I know who he is. I even saw him in Vigo back in 2007 or 2008. He was training the team. He has bad fame yeah.

There is one person, I've only heard good things of him, David Beckham. Everybody says the guy is extremely kind. And a gentleman. And he was really big as a football player. Is admirable. And now I feel the need to say, and he was hot as hell, haha. :-p

True... Becks & Del Piero are by far the nicest superstars in their generation of football players... Stoichkov was from the previous generation & was the opposite of both of them apart been a phenomenal football players like they are/were.

Weird,as staying in the premier league is the main priority for stoke, and hes been doing that for several seasons!

or did Stoke decide they want to play attractive football like everyfuckingbody else?

^Pulis has not done anything particularly exceptional considering the "quality" of players he buys. (see crouch, owen, shawcross, charlie adam) so its not like he has overachieved. That said, he has met the objective of surving relegation and unlike Wigan rarely looked like he would go down. The problem came when stoke hit an atricious run of form from December to March and the fans turned on the manager. I think it was something like 2 draws and 7 losses in 10 or the like. Thereafter it was now just a question of damage control

Good read & all on point too but it goes both ways. Apart the Real's team Mourinho inherited & made way better... the club generally is gigantic so big ego coming along with the lack of success always backfire.

"Spain has gone so far as to threaten to remove marquee clubs like Real Madrid and Barcelona from European competition if Gibraltar is acknowledged as an independent soccer-playing country. UEFA, European soccer’s governing body, which was forced to admit Gibraltar as a provisional member last year, will decide whether to make it a full member at the organization’s annual congress Friday."
