Think it's a great album. The punchlines do get ridiculous at some points, of course. But overall I love it

Very reminiscent of TES. I hope he raps like this some on his next album.

I agree man. The part when he goes like "Aaahh! You hit like a bitch! You scratch me with your nails. For that, you catch an open hand slap like a female! Like bahh!" Is probably one of my favorite parts on Recovery.
If this is what R2 was going to sound like then damn.. We missed out big time.

No way.

I did say that, and here's why. The bad songs on Recovery are better than they are on Encore, I think most of us can agree on that. However, I can deal with the Encore songs because I believe he was either drugged up and/or bored (not that is some sort of revelation), whereas on Recovery, he has no excuse for the corniness of his lines. He was sober and thinking clearly on Recovery and put out the majority of the worst lines of his career, and whats worse is that he wrote verses where those terrible lines were supposed to be the highlite of the verse. I definitely cringe when I listen to some of those lines, whereas on Encore I just shake my head and laugh.
So maybe I overstated that the lows were lower on Recovery, but I can listen to Encore without feeling like I saw someone getting kicked in the balls.

With that being said, I do like a lot of his newer material. I loved BME and his Welcome to Our House verse for example, so don't think I'm one of those guys that hates the new Eminem. I just can't enjoy the experiment that was Recovery
