The second verse is pretty obviously written in a sarcastic way. There's no way Em would write that and go "LOL YES THIS IS MIND BLASTING!".

He was probably a VERY curious kid but found out he's down with taco time. That, or he's lying and did the whole "Same Love" thing cause he lowkey knew he was gonna get a lot of fame off it (And did).

It annoys me how he makes a song about gay rights, but right off the bat establishes that he himself is not gay (just in case). Then at VMAs he didn't let that lady who did the hook who is gay even speak, even though she was on stage with him. I may be cynical, but it's like he was thinking "how can I get tons of attention, oh I know I will speak up for the LGBT community even though they're probably capable of doing it themselves and haven't asked me"

very few artists have the balls to say something like: "Hate fags? the answers' yes", while not being actually homophobic, so Macklmore just went with the flow to got some dough you know! But that doesn't mean he's any less talented

Absolutely agree about the talent! just thought it was a cheap target. Would have meant more if it came from an artist that was gay IMO.

Its pretty crazy all the views the Vevo Audio vid is getting on YouTube, I also dig that at the beginning of the audio clip you see Em put the tape in the boom box. Can't wait for the video, can't wait to hear more stuff from the album, but this will hold me over til then.
