Rap Genius is edited by morons who reeeaaach so far for meanings. It's edited by assholes, for assholes. Not everything is a fucking triple entendre.

That's true, there's a douchebag who adds his comment, "Also referencing _____" from a line let's say Em said 15 fucking years earlier. It's like, no...

It's good if you don't understand a punch line or something. Like I've always meant to chek what Em meant by "there's a game called circle and I don't know how" or something like that. Never understood it. So it's definitely useful for one line, but people who use it for entire verses then go "OMG THIS SONG IS ACTUALLY AMAZING 10/10!!" piss me off.

While I liked not afraid, it was one of those songs that I felt corny listening to in public. I couldn't bump it anywhere except at home alone. I like the track but just felt weird listening around other people. Berzerk on the other hand is opposite for me. It's a banger, and I love the beat and hook. I love being with other em fans who are hearing it for the first time just to see their reactions which have almost always been very positive. Alot of my friends have written EM off since encore too but most of them are ecstatic when they hear berzerk.

I love hearing people laugh at his lines again and love it even more when they listen several times and are still picking up lines that went over their head the first few times.

IMO - Berzerk shits all over Not afraid, and I'm Not afraid to admit it.

Well, my vote is for the third. I've listened to Berzerk a lot more than I've listened to Not Afraid when released.

I think it's unfair to judge them now.

Because Not Afraid was fitting for 2010, a serious song after the silly Relapse albums.

Berzerk is fitting for 2013 because the Recovery image has been getting a bit stale and depressing.

The lyrics on Berzerk are such fucking trash. The song itself sounds gayer then One Direction.

Not Afraid with all its cornyness still at least has some clever metaphors. And the flow is actually tolerable to listen to. Berzerk sounds like an encore track that was too shitty to make the album. Havent listened to it since the 2nd day it came out.

Bit disingenuous for people to say NA is corny. Everyone here loved it when it came out and i cant remember many who didn't. A lot of 'inspirational' songs can be seen as corny in the wrong moment. I bumped not afraid like crazy for ages, I'm not really listening to Berzerk anymore. When the rest of the album comes out it will be skipped.

I played Not Afraid so many times and tbh I still love it. I don't even really know why I like it so much lol

So to me, NA > Berzerk

Not even to understand but just to see what he's saying, first time I heard it I definitely wouldn't have been able to repeat many lines.

Also, why is it for "assholes"? There's a lot of informative shit on there and it really opens your eyes to how much work many rappers put into their writing.

Yeah, rap genius is decent. I'll give it a look.

I remember having a more satisfying feeling from "Not Afraid"...

I don't think there's enough solid flow or rapping in "Berzerk" to make it truly satisfying to me but, I'd consider "Berzerk" better music; better production and hook, and sharper lyrics.

Not Afraid was cool when it released, but it got super stale after a short period of time. Berzerk just gets better and better with each listen. I didn't like Berzerk the first time I heard it, but I still can't stop playing it!

Not Afraid was fine, but as others have said, got really stale after multiple listens. Berzerk is awesome, and just gets more and more awesome the more you listen to it. Just listen for all the small little sounds, this album is gonna pay a lot of attention to detail I think. I have listened to Berzerk so many more times than Not Afraid.
