CONTROVERSIAL rapper Eminem will tour in February.

Promoter Paul Dainty is set to announce a run of stadium dates, including a concert at Docklands, where Eminem performed two years ago.

The rapper, born Marshall Mathers, has done select dates in Europe this month to promote his new album, MMLP2, due in November.

Concert industry sources say Soundwave Festival, which is hosting headliners Green Day, Stone Temple Pilots and Korn in February and March, was “invited to get involved” in negotiations.

But Soundwave withdrew its offer when it became clear Eminem preferred to do a solo tour, and not festivals.

He will play shows in Australia in February and March.

Explicit rhymer Eminem, now 40, almost had his tour blocked when he visited in 2001.

Authorities warned him to behave or be booted out

His 2011 tour, one of the biggest selling concerts of that year, happened without incident.

''It’s a big production to be me,” Eminem said in a television interview last month.

''It’s a lot bigger than it has to be. But it’s the life I live.”
