Top 5 murder songs

Postby emchick » Sep 1st, '13, 13:06

I love his murderous stalker songs off Relapse, and I always wanted to rate them :8) What are you guys' favorites?

Mines would have to be:

1. Music Box
2. Stay Wide Awake
3. Buffalo Bill
4. Same Song & Dance
5. 3 AM

I know a lot of you would disagree with me on how I rated the last two, but I just love the laidback feel of Same Song & Dance, it gives the song a surreal kind of feel considering the subject matter. :smoking:

No particular order:

3am
Stay Wide Awake (you guys actually convinced me that I like this song, still can't believe it)
Kim
Dead Wrong
Pyscho

On a side note, wouldn't all these 'top 5' threads be in the Shady chit-chat section?

From the Relapse era?, hmmm...

Well only a few actually are murder/stalker tracks right... I guess it would be...

1. Stay Wide Awake
2. Same Song & Dance
3. Buffalo Bill
4. 3am
5. Music Box

All those songs are so fucking awesome too. Totally unique sound, he definitely hit upon 'a thing'.

I meant off Relapse or songs where he actually murders people, but ok.

Kim should be #1. That shit makes me kill my ex-girlfriend everytime I hear it.

I can't listen to that song. It's too much for me.

Yeah I know you meant Relapse era but there were only 3 songs about murdering that I liked from the Relapse era, which is why it's on my list. The other two(Kim/Dead Wrong) are songs I like where he vaguely mentions murdering.

It must be the fact that I'm female that makes it a not very enjoyable experience to listen to a woman being murdered by her jealous husband, but any other song than this I support and listen to Eminem.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a dude and I still find it uncomfortable to listen to Kim, but you have to admit, it was pretty clever in every aspect.

Yeah, it was. It's a stroke of genius of raw emotion and being terrifying and provocative, but I just can't listen to it. I'm sure for a guy who's just gone through a bad break-up it's like therapy though :p

I'm sure it works in the other way too. If I was a girl and got cheated on, I'd probably still bump Kim but I'd switch the whole thing in my head and put myself in Em's position.

:flutter: It's hard to listen to but that song is fucking genius.

Or I could just put on Music Box and picture my ex-boyfriend when the stabbing part comes. Lol, I'm joking :p

2. Same Song & Dance
3. Music Box
4. Buffalo Bill
5. 3am

I think..

I kind of wanted to put Stay Wide Awake first as well but Music Box just is too awesome to rate second :smoking:

The rapping on Buffalo Bill is just crazy though. The way he puts the verses together so seamlessly... :o

You have no idea :D When it happened to me, I listened to this shit and it was ... Fucking relaxing. Yeah, relaxing. Don't ask why, point is it made me feel better. But also angrier. But it's better than being an emotional and sad piece of shit like I used to be for a long time after the break-up. Em really helped me getting better.
