I just listened to Relapse

....(Refill) all the way through again with my wife and I have to say it's Em's number 4 album by far. Man, fuck Encore and fuck Recovery. The older this album gets the more I appreciate it. It sucks that he hated on it so bad on his last album. I find it to be a lyrical masterpiece. Stay Wide Awake, Deja Vu, Same Song & Dance, Careful What You Wish For, and my fucking favorite of it all, Music Box are sick, man. The last verses in Music Box and Same Song & Dance are two of the greatest verses I think I've ever heard in my life. Deja Vu is just one huge artistic masterpiece as well. Pretty much the entire album is as smooth as it comes. Fuck the haters, man... I love Relapse and Em knows it's a beast of an album, too, no matter what he says.

Sorry guys, I just had to rant. Beast album, IMO.

Man I honestly like the chorus, too. It's not a GOAT chorus but it's still pretty damn good compared to some. I agree that the verses make the song, though.

Saying it's Em's number 4 album isn't really saying much. Saying the bottom three are so bad.

If you said it was three, that would be something to think about.

Honestly in a way it could be a number 3 album, with SSLP coming in at number 4. The way all of the lyrics flow together is godly. I still say SSLP nudges above it a bit just for its emotion alone, but Relapse is one of his greats, nonetheless. Encore and Recovery aren't even close in comparison as an album as a whole.
