I just want to add that I want to distance myself from Christian rap too, though. I want to write lyrics that reflect how I feel inside. That must feel like therapy I think. I don't just want to write lyrics that are based on a book. BUT that won't be in the church, that's for sure It probably won't be popular with the people in the church either, so it's kind of a risk for me, but one that I am willing to take. I want to be an artist who pours her heart and soul into her songs. I wanna be true to myself.
