im sure it was a preview, and the real video is very much like the snippet. it goes well.

the beats headphones will just be featured like in not afraid and every other recent video he's done

Eminem releases his MMLP2 album November 5.

MTV EMA's take place November 10 in Amsterdam.

Anyone think an Eminem performance might happen?

Singles sales have nothing to do with album sales.

They do.
They make casual fans buy the album.
I would've never bought The Heist if I didn't fall in love with Thrift Shop.

I'm not saying that if you have a hit or two your album will magically sell 500K first week, I'm just saying singles help albums too sell.
Where do you think Em would be without My Name Is? Fifty without In Da Club? Game without Hate It Or Love It? This list can go on forever.
If Thrift Shop didn't become a hit I would've never bought The Heist and loved it like I do, so I'm living proof of what I'm saying, in my case a hit single equaled to +1 album sale for Macklemore. And I don't think I'm the only one who heard of him because of that reason.

but in the context of what we are talking about (Eminem in 2013 with the release of MMLP2) it doesn't matter. Thrift Shop will probably be bigger than any MMLP2 single among "casual fans" but Em will still kill it with album sales, on his name alone.

The Heist has sold just over a million copies in the US, and it's been out for 1 year. at the very worst MMLP2 will obliterate that in 2-3 weeks max. realistically 2 weeks though.

We can't be sure about how a video will help the sales but we can be definitely sure it'll boost the song's popularity.

We agree that Em can put out an album with absolutely no promotion, just saying on FB and Twitter "My album is out tomorrow, go buy it" and still sell 300K first week, but this kind of promotion they're doing right now hypes people up and make them wait for the release of the record, which will sell more.
With artists like Eminem, it doesn't really matter having a hit or not, it just matters having his name out again a few months before the album, so that people "remember" he's out there again and then buy his album.

Man...I haven't to this song in like a week. Got pretty boring pretty quickly. :( I don't know why.
"So one last time, I'm back, 'fore it fades into black and it's all over, behold the final chapter in the saga, trying to recapture that lightning trapped in a bottle twice, the magic that started it all...tragic portrait of an artist tortured....trapped in his own drawings..." - Bruce.

We were talking about it in another thread... this is one of those songs that definitely need a video.

I think it was Mosh and that video from Bad Meets Evil.

He did with this one because the lyrics were not clear from the song, so to set them straight he put it out. More videos, more promotion as well.
