By the look of it, it's definitely going to be his best video since at least 3 AM

If you think he's actually back on drugs, you've been badly trolled. This was a clear joke that I found actually funny (as opposed to some of the other stupid shit he's tried to do, like the "back to school with Marshall" thing).
Does no one remember how trendy it was on SL to "wish Eminem was back on drugs" between 2009-2011? That shit was just as popular a notion as hating the accent, hating the yelling, hating the punch lines, etc. By doing what he did tonight, he's just paying homage to the way that (this forum specifically) has begged for him to act.
Everyone saying this was a controversial publicity stunt to get people talking are correct. Before SSLP/MMLP, the world was not ready for Eminem and he shocked us with those albums. When he came back with Recovery he acquired a whole new fan base of people who see him as this recovered, good-willed drug addict. He appealed to a younger crowd with pop collaborations and love songs. If he starts revisiting the concept of drugs, crime, and other controversy with MMLP2, or other shocking concepts we aren't expecting, he'll shock his entire new fan base. I think he's just playing games and it's working because look at the attention he's getting.
