Neither are classics. But both are 100x better than the compromised shitstorm of schizophrenic confusion that was Recovery.
Take this for example. The guy passes this off as "fact" and it's his opinion......yet no one calls him out on it.....why.....because it's the norm on here to think Relapse shits on Recovery. If this statement was the other way around, peope would be complaining saying he's trying to say his opinion is fact, but nope not when it's the norm on here.
So what is it on here???

GOAT list. For me, it's accurate.

You or anyone else with the norm here, if they do it, then it's fine and no one calls them out.
Double standard man.

I couldn't stand listening to Relapse when it came out, it was vomit in my ears. I stopped listening to all Eminem music because of it. It was literally unbearable.
A track isn't purely made up of lyrics (which is the major factor in trshadys love of this album)
his delivery accent was putrid (anyone remember how much hate came from this?),
the beats were uninspiring and hooks forgettable.
When Recovery comes out and he has dropped the accent, and in my opinion better beats and hooks the whole album sounded better. Lyrically may not have been up there but at least it didnt feel like my speakers were stabbing my ears.
People have different factors into what makes them like music. For me delivery, hook, beat and lyrics are equal.
If a song has the greatest verse of all time but crap hook and beat then i simple will not like the song.
