he said that he wanted to work with Dj Quik and release an album with a cohesive west coast sound

It makes sense because he played a song produced by Dre during a listening party but the song didn't make the album's cut because it didn't fit gkmc's story
Collect calls was supposed to be the 1st track and cartoon & cereal the second track on gkmc but they couldn't clear the sample so he gave the song to Gunplay

I think he'll be using that new aggressive delivery he was developed on songs like Fragile and Control. Shit is gonna be GOAT.
Kendrick experiments a lot between 2 albums but his guest verses have absolutely nothing to do with his albums ^^
everybody was surprised when he went from OD to s80 and all his fans were surprised when he went from s80 to gkmc

I also feel that Kendrick will bring the best out of Eminem.
Bingo
"He doesn’t divulge much more about a follow-up, except that he wants to work with the legendary Compton rapper and producer DJ Quik to “bring that original sound that people have been missing from the West Coast for a while,” and that he’s not stressed about expectations."
