I must just be less picky. No one line could have ruined that verse for me. I've never really been one to let a single line ruin a song/verse but if it bothers you that much then I guess I could see it...

Plus, the beat never bothered me either. Not great, but it never made me freak out like some others. Wayne's verse was actually pretty good for Wayne. It makes Em's verse so much more satisfying since he murders him. Wayne being on the song is part of why I love it. Just like how satisfying Em's Drop the World verse is after listening to Wayne. (This is on a whole new level but) It's like when you sit through Juicy J's awful Gun Plus a Mask verses to hear Yelawolf shred him.

But once again, it's obvious I'm just a less picky listener. I'm constantly trying to find what to appreciate in a song, rather than what hurts it. Even on Encore, I can enjoy the production and the humor but Em slaughtering Wayne is so awesome to appreciate in itself that I don't tear my hair out over a mediocre beat. It's all about how you approach a song. You could find something to hate in every song if you wanted to.

Never got the complaints about a particular song for a few corny punches when the overall song is good.

Recovery gets this constantly, even though it had overall better content and concepts than Relapse. While Relapse has good production and is lyrically good. Recovery has better concepts and more gems IMO.

I disagree. Relapse doesn't have any tracks that I would put in a top 20. A lot of the songs are good but flawed in some way, weak hook or accents or useless verses.. I don't get the dickriding it gets, and all the hate Recovery does. I can understand why people like or dislike each album. But neither IMO deserve any praise as much as Relapse does on here or hate as much as Recovery does. They are both solid albums with very different sounds but neither are by any means classics or bad albums.

The majority of hate Recovery gets is directed towards the compromised sound the album has, some of the lack luster puns, and it's incoherent concept.

I'm not calling it a bad album, nor do I "hate" the album. I just consider it my least favorite.

I wouldn't put any song from Relapse or Recovery in my top 20 either.... nor my top 40 tbh, those spots would be occupied by Eminem's 99-03 run.

But I do enjoy Relapse much more than I enjoy Recovery, that's for sure.

As far as an album, Relapse is a more cohesive and focused album. Agreed. But song for song, Recovery wins IMO. Going Through Changes is a top 25 Em track for me.

I don't get that though. Write the entire song off for one line? There's plenty more songs left that are flawed as well.
