I really can't understand ALL the hate. Of course you can have things you didn't like on the tracklist, but common
Let's wait untill we actually hear the album
Besides, the tracklist seems awesome to me, a lot of badasses names are there
If the problems are the features... Damn, they might add something to the song, who knows
And Survival is dope, btw

Maybe the whole point is to make it different

Just to confirm, you are saying that to the muthafucking Marshall Mathers LP 2, right?

Really my only for sure problem. I don't mind any features, yes I wanted different ones like budden or sh as a whole. But Skylar works well with em, just a bit played out. Rihanna helps sales and em wants her twat.
Kendrick can do as well as Kendrick can do. And Nate will be certainly something to check out.

My only real problems are, these obviously don't have the feel of mmlp but more of recovery like we've established. Like we all knew it was for sales anyhow, all em does now is for sales.
But all tracks seem they may sound the same. A lot of the tracks seem like they will have the same feel.

Lack of diversity will prob be the downfall of this. But, I'm still pumped.

Except it's not different according to the tracklisting and two singles.

The album will go platinum in a heartbeat since it's called MMLP2.

I wouldn't have a problem with trying to sell more records with these features if Em would put out solo mixtapes showcasing is artistic abilities in true form on an album's downtime. Like, actual solo mixtapes, not collabs or features.

StayWideAwake wrote:I said this before but I'll say it again. All he said so far...is that this album is a "revisit" to MMLP. That does not mean that the tracklists side by side are going to match up identically. There are many tracks on there that imply he wants to make music like he did back then, but you're acting like the fact that it isn't identical it means it isn't a sequel. In just about every other medium of entertainment a sequel that is essentially an updated carbon copy of the original, is frowned upon. Sequels are usually supposed to be an evolution of the first, or the next logical progression. Not just a track for track attempt at a remake.

This became most clear to me when they put out the new album cover. Yes, it is literally him "revisiting" his old house, but they added the new logo. Small detail, but if they wanted to make it as perfectly similar as possible they would have kept the logo that they know is classic. The new logo was an obvious sign that they were revisiting the past, but with a modern twist. It's clear when you look at the album: this is not old Em. This is the new Em, going back to his older days. You should have all expected a modern twist on this. I don't know where anyone got the idea that it would look or sound identical to the first.

Why don't we just wait for the album to drop and then we can criticize it? :coffee:
