I'm buying this album purely out of loyalty to the man I've idolised for 13 years but in an ideal world Em would be:

Not pandering to his new 12 year old girl fans who jumped on after LTWYL with collabs with Rihanna, Pink, Lil Wayne, the lead singer from Fun and Bruno Mars. Especially not at the expense of 50 and D12, who seem to have been all but forgotten.

Not dodging collabs from Tech N9ne or Nas.

Survival wouldn't be on the album. People can argue all they want but it's promo song to COD that we've had for two months and I'd rather we had something different. The flow, concept, hook and production are all very similar to Recovery.

Em, it's a small detail but you said you stopped dying your hair in 2008 after getting clean due to your age and saying you'd never go blonde again, so why five years down the line have you went back? I don't mind the hair, but don't be a hypocrite.

I agree wit chu about everything...

With the hair thing though - I presume he did it to associate this period / mmlp2 / imply the association to that period again.

He said he'd never die it but am sure didn't predict he was going to make a sequel to MMLP... initially I was a bit 'ehh' about it, I mean...I can't deny it looks shocking, it does because we all associate 'blonde Eminem' with so much, and he was natural for a while, so it feels like a kind of 'ooh' moment...

But yeah, I kind of like the fact he died it blonde again as it's like living his art - it's not like he just likes the way he looks with yellow hair - he's done it for a reason, like Bruce Wayne zippingu p his Batman costume yo. He ain't Batman wittout it.

He still managed to make his most deranged, murderous album (Relapse) with natural hair.

The blonde could be considered living art but we've only seen it in Survival and Berzerk which are NOT what I think of when I think what a MMLP sequel would sound like. So the blonde can also be considered an idea by Interscope's marketing department.

He NEEDS to do the album name justice but the truth is he's not said anything relevant on either of the two singles (one being a promo song for fucking COD).

There is a difference between being hungry and fake hungry. In Em's first 2 albums, he was hungry. In TES, he was still dominating off his momentum. Encore was an uninspired and sorry version of TES. Then after that he started to act hungry. I hope Em doesn't just love pop himself now.

It makes me very upset that Survival was included. Could that be just due to the contract?

My ideal 2013 Em ignoring other artists featuring on MMLP2 and focusing solely on him would be:

- "The Reunion" style voice
- Same subject matter as Relapse (minus accents)
- Own production
- More solo hooks
- Being controversial
But what am I gonna do when the rage is gone and the lights go out in that trailer park?

The Eminem that never gave a fuck in MMLP, SSLP & TES.
TRShady's neighbourhood Spiderman!

Spiderman, Spiderman,
Does whatever a spider can.
Spins a web, any size.
Catches thieves- just like flies.
Look out! Here comes the Spiderman.

I hate hearing how he needs Relapse content though.....Em was never a serial killer on 95% of his album in his prime. Sure he visited the subject matter on his older albums, but in Relapse he went full serial killer on the majority of the album.

I agree with pretty much everything you post, fantastic addition to the forum. :y:

Again, I agree. I really like Survival, but it should be a bonus track.
