I've done my best to stay logged out for a couple days to let all this sink in because I didn't want to come off as a whiney bitch like a few people, but here are a few of my thoughts.

How cool would it have been to have Marilyn Manson & Elton John features? I'd been hoping for those 2 for at least a year now. The Elton song could've been a HUGE single & the Manson track could've been a dark concept song that all of us core fans really dig.

As far as the features on the actual album, I guess I'm in wait and see mode. The Rihanna track could end up being fantastic. Hopefully it's not another case of LTWYL where the original hook was better than the one she recorded, but Em just put her on there for sales. As for Skylar...I'm a big fan of hers (really dug her album) plus we were all expecting her anyways so I'm cool with that.

What I'm not cool with is at LEAST 6/15 hooks being done by other artists. I really enjoyed Recovery, but my main gripe was the production & lack of Em hooks.I thought for SURE both issues would be corrected on the new album. When you're the best at making hooks (and one of the best producers, mind you) why go out of house to get others'? It just seems lazy. Like someone else said, what happened to the days of starting each song from scratch? That's exactly why TES is my all-time favorite album.

Regardless, I'm still extremely pumped for the album. As often as Em may do some WTF shit, he knows how sacred MMLP is & how meaningful it is to us. I just can't see him making a sequel if he didn't know for a fact it was gonna be phenomenal. Maybe we just have to accept this is as the new formula for Em now. I think he'll deliver, I was just really thrown off by all this news and was unsure what to think.

TES is my favorite album too :b:
You're right about the features, they might turn out great, we should wait on it
I'm glad Marlyn Manson is not on there, btw

I still can't believe survival is on this album.. Only reason that'd have me worried is it's just not that great of a song, so for Em to put it on there he must of thought it was good enough to be on the album which doesn't give me good feelings. Then there's the whole rock anthem thing that gets me thinking this album is going to be rock-influenced to some degree again. For something called MMLP it doesn't make a whole lotta sense. I'm not going to judge anything until I hear the album but that's the only thing that's bothered me a little.

It could just be this albums anthem. Em seems to like those, so maybe he felt he wanted one on this album. I don't think that necessarily means the album will be lackluster or rock influenced.

That's just Khalil style I think. He also produced WBD which is the weakest track on Recovery. Don't forget that ! :y:
My Music Box, #1 Em song              <Insert Insult Here>            #Slumerican

I'll laugh my butt off if the song with Rihanna is way better that the one with Kendrick. you cant judge by the titles. Obviously Rihanna will let a guy punch her in the face so it could be a great track with her singing the hook. a MMLP example for you: Stan ft Dido

Why stopping it when it doesn't have to end, right?

Well yeah but I'm saying something recent. Nas would have made No Love so much better. Now I only listen to about half the song cuz of Wayne's gay ass.

I really hope Alchemist and Premier have a track on this. If Em goes another solo album without a beat from Alchemist, it'll piss me off. He's signed to Shady Records as the in house DJ, you'd think one of the better producers of his time who is signed with his label would make an appearance on every album, but nope. And premier because Em always goes hard on the Cyphers with premier.

He's Em's DJ on tour and on Westwood freestyles
That's enough, eventhough I'd like at least one beat from him on the album
